APA's varsity soccer team played to a draw at Cape Fear Academy, 1-1, Thursday in Wilmington. Junior striker Zacchaeus Rasberry scored in the first half from a feed from APA senior Ward Sylvester in the 38th minute. CFA scored in the 65th minute before the teams played a ten-minute overtime before the match was called due to darkness. CFA outshot APA 10-9, and Patriot goalkeeper Michael Mikhail made five saves. APA is now 1-1-1 in the Coastal River Conference and 7-2-2 overall. The Pats next match is Monday at Faith CS in Rocky Mount.
