RALEIGH, NC – The Parrott Academy Patriots finally returned to the field Friday night and steamrolled past the Grace Christian School Eagles by the score of 52-6. Parrott had not played since September 18^th due to a forfeit and a game postponed due to weather.

The Patriots took care of business early on in the contest. Parrott running back Davis Basden tallied touchdown runs of 66, 76 and 30 to give the Patriots a 22-0 lead after just one quarter of play. In the second quarter, Parrott quarterback Connor Bright rushed for two touchdowns and threw for two more as the Patriots took the 52-6 lead into halftime.

Parrott had another stellar performance on offense as they racked up 502 total yards (396 – Rushing; 106 - Passing). Basden had seven carries for 214 yards and a reception for 58 yards while Bright was 2-for-6 for 106 yards and three rushes for 38 yards. Patriots running back Josh Lopez had three rushes for 45 yards and running back Raekwan Fulton carried the ball five times for 28 yards.

On defense, Parrott held Grace Christian to just 95 yards of total offense, all on the ground. Cole Daniels had five tackles, two sacks and an interception.

The Patriots improved their record to 6-1 on the year and will return home on October 23^rd to take on Halifax Academy.
