KINSTON, NC – The Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots moved their record to 2-0 on the season with a 52-14 victory over the Northeast Academy Eagles Friday night.

Parrott would put this contest away early as they rolled out to a 30-6 lead after just one quarter of play. Quarterback Connor Bright threw for three touchdowns in the quarter and also ran for a score. The Patriots then tacked on three more scores in the second quarter highlighted by another pair of touchdown passes from Bright and would take a 52-6 lead into halftime.

At halftime of tonight’s game, the 2015 baseball and softball state championship teams were honored and presented with their rings.

In the second half, the only score came off a one yard touchdown run by quarterback Matthew Little of Northeast Academy. Little was the lone bright spot for the Eagles as he had 11 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

The Parrott offense was solid once again as they racked up 472 yards of offense. Bright went 9-for-13 for 237 yards and five touchdowns. Running back Davis Basden had 101 yards of rushing and collected five catches for 94 yards. Receiver Riley Cregan also chipped in with a pair of touchdown receptions.

Parrott will be at home next week as they host St. David’s. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
