The Patriots soundly defeated the visiting Cary Christian in the first round of NCISAA 8-man playoffs at Hodges Field on Friday - all in the first half. Parrott took a 42-0 halftime lead and didn't find the end zone for the rest of the game.

Cary scored its lone touchdown in the third quarter on an 80-yard pass.

Zacchaeus Rasberry scored three touchdowns - two catches for 60 and 69 yards and a 65-yard punt return - in the victory. Chase Howard led Parrott rushers with 49 yards on seven carries, while Rasberry added 18.

Rasberry led with 147 receiving yards on just three passes, while quarterback Charlie King threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-of-5 passing, no interceptions.
